Sachin Kori

Attorney

Sachin is a proud Northern Virginia native, having only left the area to attend college and law school. Early on, he embraced a strong work ethic through jobs like mowing lawns in his neighborhood, working at Toys ‘R’ Us, and spending summers working for the Fairfax County SACC Program. These experiences helped shape his people-first approach to legal practice.

Sachin earned his degree from James Madison University, where he was a member of the Marching Royal Dukes. He spent a year working for the Fairfax County Government before attending law school at the University of Tennessee College of Law. While in law school, he volunteered with Legal Aid of East Tennessee, where he later worked, assisting the lawyers in providing pro bono services to underserved communities. He further helped connect fellow peers with practicing attorneys and outside professionals by leading student organizations, coordinating networking events, and engaging in community service.

That foundation continues to influence Sachin’s work today. He believes in learning from every client and case. He draws on a broad range of personal and professional experiences to represent clients from all sorts of economic and diverse backgrounds.

Sachin’s practice areas include family law, civil litigation, and estate planning. For nearly a decade, he served as a managing partner for his own firm with a focus on family law, criminal defense, and estate planning. After closing his firm, he joined an area mid-sized firm, managing litigation attorneys while handling civil cases, primarily in the areas of business/partnership disputes and construction law. Now at Irving Law, Sachin brings his past experiences in order to better serve his colleagues and their clients.

In practice, Sachin likes to keep a clear view of the big picture and ensure that clients stay informed throughout their case. Sachin helps clients focus not just on immediate needs, but on what life will look like after the legal process—especially in emotionally charged divorce and family law cases.

Outside of work, Sachin enjoys life with his wife, toddler, and six lively pet birds. He and his wife love cultural outings, travel, museums, finding wood-fired pizza, visiting local wineries, and generally spending time with family and friends.
