David Rouzzo

David has been practicing law since 2001. Before relocating to Virginia, he worked in private practice, served as a public defender, and was appointed by courts to represent clients who could not afford counsel. In these roles, David defended hundreds of individuals facing serious felony charges, misdemeanor offenses, and traffic violations.

At the Fredericksburg Public Defender’s Office, David served as a Senior Assistant Public Defender and Senior Trial Attorney, representing clients charged with serious felony crimes in Stafford County, Spotsylvania County, and the City of Fredericksburg.

As lead or co-counsel, David has tried numerous felony jury trials, including eight murder cases to verdict and two death penalty cases to verdict. He has a proven record of success in complex, high-stakes felony litigation and has secured acquittals in high-profile cases, including murder and other charges carrying potential life sentences. David is known for his commanding courtroom presence, powerful cross-examination skills, deep knowledge of the rules of evidence, and ability to challenge complex forensic and scientific testimony.

David now brings his extensive experience and trial skills to his work as a Fairfax County Criminal Attorney, where he handles the full range of felony and misdemeanor cases.

Outside the courtroom, David enjoys cooking, music, and spending time outdoors with his wife and two dogs.
